A Tuition-Free Pathway

Myers Hall With Flowers In SpringThe Tiger Opportunity Grant covers the cost of tuition for eligible Ohio high school graduates who are attending college for the first time and who qualify for the Ohio College Opportunity Grant.

Designed to assist students whose families demonstrate the highest levels of financial need and who are within the eligibility criteria for the Ohio College Opportunity Grant as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Tiger Opportunity Grant creates a clear, tuition-free pathway for students to attend Wittenberg.

To be eligible, Ohio students must:

  • Have graduated from an Ohio high school.

  • Enroll into their first bachelor’s degree program in the Fall 2025. Both First Time in College and Transfer Students are eligible.

  • Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $3,750 or less, and a maximum household income of $96,000.

  • Qualify for the Ohio College Opportunity Grant based on their FAFSA.

“This initiative further demonstrates Wittenberg’s commitment to our Ohio high school graduates, and to the economic success of the State of Ohio,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management Maribeth Stevens. “By removing the financial barrier for tuition that often exists for many Ohio students from diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds, we are able to ensure that we continue to educate the next generation of Tigers who will contribute to the continued growth and development within Springfield and throughout the state.”

Applications for the Fall 2025 semester are officially open, and students can visit this web page or email admission@electronic-fittings.com for more information. Please note that The Tiger Opportunity Grant Program will cover tuition only. Students will be responsible for any remaining costs for room, board, and fees.
